ArtLab Policies

General Artlab Information​

  • Drinking water is available but personal water bottles are encouraged

  • Only guests ages 6+ may attend without a caregiver (unless approved in advance)

  • ARTLab class size limited to 12 artists for ages 2-5

  • ARTLab class size limited to 18 artists for ages 6 + up

  • Friends and siblings must be booked for the lab to participate

  • Please communicate any special requests or needs PRIOR to lab

Missed Lab/Cancellations/Refunds

  • Class sessions may be cancelled if the minimum enrollment is not met

  • If a session is cancelled refunds will automatically be issued for payment made

  • If after the first lab you decide that ArtLab is not a fit, we will refund tuition, minus $40 supply fee

  • Can't make it? Call or text us 808-666-0111 or email info@artlabmaui.com BEFORE start time

  • Makeups will be provided based on availability

  • To withdraw or reschedule a session call 808-666-0111 within 7 days of start date

  • No shows without notice will not receive refunds or be given the option of make-up labs

Waitlist Policy

  • Because we keep class sizes small they can fill up quickly

  • Spaces are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis

  • If you are interested in consecutive sessions it is best to register in advance

  • When a session is full, you will see a “join waitlist” button

  • We invite you to register for the waitlist for any class you are interested in

  • You will be notified via email if a spot becomes available

Caregiver Conduct​

  • Caregivers of artists over 6 are asked tp drop off or wait outside the lab

  • If you are early for pick-up please wait on for lab to end 

  • Please park in designated "customer" or "open" parking spots or on the street

  • Please encourage engagement by switching off your phone in the lab when possible

  • Please refrain from feeding your child outside snacks in the lab

  • Please communicate any concerns or needs PRIOR to lab

Artist Conduct

  • ArtLab Maui is a safe space for kids and a positive environment for self-expression

  • Acts of violence, aggression, bullying, or hate will not be tolerated 

  • Artist who exhibit any such behavior toward others will be unenrolled from class

Photos and Videos

  • We will occasionally take photographs and video footage of our artists and their creations

  • We sometime use such images for the purpose of promoting ArtLab services online and in print

  • Please inform us immediately if you do NOT wish us to use such images and footage

  • By signing the registration form without informing us that you do not wish your child to be photographed or filmed, you give us permission to use images and /or footage in publicity materials.

 

What to Wear and Bring

  • Art is messy! Please dress accordingly

  • Lab coats or aprons are available

  • ArtLab takes no responsibility for damage to clothing

  • Be comfortable - lab is air conditioned and can be cool

  • Please leave all non-essential personal items (ie. toys) at home

 

IllnessSafety Precautions 

  • CDC and state/local guidelines will be enforced

  • Please do not attend ArtLab if your child or anybody in your family is ill

  • Children exhibiting symptoms of illness may not participate but will be offered a make-up 

  • Hand sanitation and hand washing areas available

  • Materials and surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized after use

Right to Refuse Service

  • ArtLab Maui reserves the right to refuse service  

  • No refunds or credits will be provided to those who do not follow policies as outlined
